Mouse Interleukin 33 (IL-33) is a 30 kDa proinflammatory cytokine which may also regulates gene transcription in producer cells. IL-33 is constitutively expressed in smooth muscle and airway epithelia. IL-33 was identified based on sequence and structural homology with IL-1 family cytokines. It is up‑regulated in arterial smooth muscle, dermal fibroblasts, and keratinocytes following IL-1 alpha or IL‑1 beta stimulation. IL-33 is structurally related to IL-1, which induces helper T cells to produce type 2 cytokines and acts through the receptor IL1RL-1. BindingIL-33 to this receptor activates NF-kappa-B and MAP kinases and induces in vitro Th2 cells to produce cytokines. In vivo, IL-33 induces the expression of IL-4, IL-5, IL-13 and also leads to severe pathological changes in mucosal organs.
Interleukin 11 (IL-11) is a member of a family of human growth factors that includes human growth hormone, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, and other growth factors. IL-11 is a thrombopoietic growth factor that directly stimulates the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and megakaryocyte progenitor cells and induces megakaryocyte maturation resulting in increased platelet production. It also promotes the proliferation of hepatocytes in response to liver damage. Binding to its receptor formed by IL6ST and either IL11RA1 or IL11RA2, It activates a signaling cascade that promotes cell proliferation. The signaling leads to the activation of intracellular protein kinases and the phosphorylation of STAT3.
Interleukin-11(IL-11) is a secreted protein and belongs to the IL-6 superfamily. IL-11 has been demonstrated to improve platelet recovery after chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia, induceacute phase proteins, modulate antigen-antibody responses, participate in the regulation of bone cellproliferation and differentiation and could be use as a therapeutic for osteoporosis. IL-11 stimulates the growth of certain lymphocytes and, in the murine model, stimulates an increase in the cortical thickness and strength of long bones. In addition to having lymphopoietic hematopoietic and osteotrophic properties, it has functions in many other tissues, including the brain, gut, testis and bone.

Human Chemokine (C-C Motif) Ligand 27 (CCL27) is a small cytokine that is a member of the CC chemokine family; it is expressed in numerous tissues, including gonads, thymus, placenta and skin. CCL27 elicits its chemotactic effects by binding to the chemokine receptor CCR10. Predominantly expressed in the skin, CCL27 is associated with T cell-mediated inflammation of the skin. Human and Mouse CCL27 share 84% sequence identity in the mature form.
Interleukin-33 (IL-33) belongs to the IL-1 superfamily. IL33 is highly expressed in endothelial venules found in tonsils, Peyer patches and mesenteric lymph nodes, but almost undetectable in placenta. IL33 induces the production of T helper-2 (Th2)-associated cytokines. IL-33 is a cytokine that mediates its biological effects by binding to and signals through IL1RL1 ST2 and IL-1 Receptor Accessory Protein (IL1RAP), activating intracellular molecules in the NF-κB and MAP kinase signaling pathways that drive production of type 2 cytokines from polarized Th2 cells.

The interleukin (IL)-1 family of cytokines is currently comprised of 11 members that have pleiotropic functions in inflammation and cancer. IL-1α and IL-1β were the first members of the IL-1 family to be described, and both signal via the same receptor, IL-1R. Over the last decade, much progress has been made in our understanding of biogenesis of IL-1β and its functions in human diseases.
